IABC Basic Metabolic Analysis Status, venous
Laboratory profile for testing selected micronutrients and metabolic parameters. Venous blood collection by a doctor is required for this test.
Description:
The analysis profile listed includes:
- Homocysteine, GPx, SOD and hs-CRP
- Ferritin and vitamin D3 (25-OH)
- Magnesium in serum
- Fatty acids AA, EPA and DHA, as well as the AA/EPA ratio
- 8-OH-dG and Q10
- Selenium in whole blood
- γ-GT and triglycerides
You will receive a report with your personal test results and a proposal for an individually tailored HCK® micronutrient blend.
How does the test work?
Your individual micronutrient profile
The laboratory profile combines selected nutrient measurements with additional metabolic parameters. The results document the values tested and serve as the basis for the subsequent discussion with your healthcare professional.
According to IABC, the laboratory analyses are carried out by partner laboratories. For the evaluation, IABC takes the commissioned analyses and your lifestyle information into account. You will receive clear documentation and a proposal for an individually tailored micronutrient formulation.
What are micronutrients?
Micronutrients include vitamins and minerals, including trace elements. The body needs them in small amounts for various functions. They do not provide energy themselves.
What do micronutrients do?
Micronutrients perform various functions in the body. For example, they are involved in the formation and function of enzymes and hormones, as well as in normal growth and development processes.
Whether supplementation is advisable depends on your personal nutritional status and health situation.
How are micronutrient deficiencies measured?
Depending on the question being investigated, specific nutrient concentrations or related laboratory parameters are examined. The significance of the profile is limited to the tests ordered.
Abnormal values can have various causes. Their interpretation therefore takes into account information about diet, symptoms, pre-existing conditions, and medications. Individual metabolic values cannot provide a complete assessment of the supply of all micronutrients.

How do I take the test?
The test kit contains the required sample containers, an analysis order form, a return envelope, protective sleeves, and sampling instructions.
- Make an appointment with your doctor for venous blood collection.
- Follow the enclosed instructions and clarify the required preparation with the medical practice.
- Return the samples together with the completed analysis order form in accordance with the laboratory requirements.
According to IABC, you will receive a detailed report with your measurement values and a recommendation tailored to your individual needs after approximately ten days HCK® micronutrient blend.
The IABC report does not replace a medical history or diagnosis. Discuss any abnormal results and health complaints with your doctor.
