IABC Imuscan IgG Test - 221 Foods
Imuscan is a test kit for determining food-specific IgG antibodies in the blood. According to the provider, 221 foods from various food groups are tested.
After the evaluation, you will receive a personal report on the measured IgG levels. Upon request, the provider can also prepare a recommendation for an individually tailored HCK® micronutrient blend.
🧪 What is tested?
The test covers 221 foods from the following groups:
-
Grains
-
Meat
-
Fish
-
Milk and dairy products
-
Vegetables
-
Fruit
-
Nuts
⚠️ Important medical information
The detection of food-specific IgG or IgG4 antibodies is not a scientifically recognized method of diagnosing a food allergy or food intolerance.
Such antibodies may also be present in healthy people as a result of normal contact with foods. The test result must therefore not be understood as a medical diagnosis or as evidence of a so-called “type III food allergy”.
The report does not replace a medical history or medical diagnosis and does not provide a reliable indication of whether a particular food causes symptoms.
If you suspect food allergies or intolerances, or experience persistent symptoms, please consult a doctor or an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
📋 Test procedure
The test kit contains the documents and materials required for sample collection and return:
-
Sample container or blood collection materials
-
Analysis request form
-
Protective sleeves
-
Return envelope
-
Instructions for sample collection
- Evaluation within 3-10 days
The blood sample is collected according to the enclosed instructions. Depending on the specified procedure, a venous blood sample, a capillary blood sample, or the TAP Blood® Collection Device may be used.
The sample and the fully completed analysis request form are then sent to the provider or the responsible partner laboratory in the designated return envelope.
According to IABC, the analysis is performed by accredited partner laboratories.
📄 Evaluation
After the analysis is completed, you will receive a report on the measured food-specific IgG antibodies.
Based on the result, foods should not be excluded without medical or nutritional advice. An unnecessary or extensive elimination diet can lead to an unbalanced diet and inadequate nutrient intake.
Processing time begins only after the laboratory receives a usable sample. The current information in the instructions and order documents supplied with the test kit is authoritative.
🩸 Information about blood collection
Read the instructions enclosed with the test kit in full before collecting the sample.
People with an increased tendency to bleed or who are being treated with anticoagulant medications should consult their doctor before blood collection.
In the event of acute or severe allergic reactions, such as shortness of breath, circulatory problems, or swelling, immediate medical attention is required. The Imuscan test is not suitable for investigating acute allergic reactions.
